World-leading model rocketry manufacturer Estes Industries had a strong brand appearance at the 2011 Nuremberg Toy Trade Fair in Germany. Estes rockets and products were shown at the booth of Hobbico (the new parent company of Estes) as well as at his UK distributor, Ripmax.
At the fair, which claims to be the leading toy fair in the world, Estes announced his new distributor for Germany, Revell. Revell, which also belongs to Hobbico, is well-known for its plastic model kits in Europe, having a strong presence in toy and hobby stores. The company will launch its rocketry line as Revell Rockets by Estes. The scheduled launch of the Revell line is summer 2011.
Michael Fritz, Estes Marketing Director, personally introduced the Revell-Estes model rocket line at the Nuremberg fair. The photo shows Mike (on the left) along with editor Oliver Missbach from European Model Rocketry at the Revell booth.
Shortly before the fair, Estes released a new catalog for 2011 in both print and online versions. On 28 pages, the catalog features many new products along with re-released classic rocket kits such as the Maxi Alpha III, Photon Disruptor or Mosquito (which is now also available as a scale-up version).
