S8E/P-RC Rocket Glider Spot Landing World Cup

Poor!  World Cups should feature more than three starters in any class. Reasons were unclear, but the unhappy trends observed at many events in 2011 were repeated at Belgrade. Vlada Cipcic, Angel Conev and Nikolay Peycev did their best to impress, but this was pretty warm beer really. Podium:

1 Vladimir CIPCIC        SRB          896    1000      957 + 1000 = 3853pt
2 Angel CONEV        BUL           808      803    1000 +   947 = 3588pt
3 Nikolay PEYCEV        BUL        1000      890       DQ +   988 = 2878pt

Good one, leaving the FAI Jury of Stuart Lodge, Srdjan Pelagic, Andija Ducak and Jordan Kovacevic little to do but sign off the scoresheets. Great to see a sizable haul of S7-Scale models for Stanisa Petrovic, Nikola Cveticanin and Miodrag Cipcic to run the rule over. Less good was the need to judge these models in the dark! ..photons in the bar of Aerodrom Lisicji Jarak seriously lacking. Throughout the weekend, Range Safety Officer, Georgi Georgieski from Macedonia, ran the show with confident aplomb. Socially brilliant, the banquet hosted in the same darkened place where S7-Scale was judged and the food and conviviality was stellar.
