Regulations Netherlands
In the Netherlands flying modelrockts is forbidden by
law. The DRRA (Dutch Rocket Research Association) are allowed to fly modelrockets, but there is no law
which says so. It is based on an old gentlemans agreement.
In the Netherlands EU rules are active since 1994/1995. It forbids everything with an explosive charge. An exception is made for pyrothechnical devices (fireworks?). It is not clear if modelrocket engines are pyrothechnical devices. We are sorting that out now. The biggest problem is that modelrocket engines are not described at
all.
